Following the successful completion of multiple hospital projects with John Holland Group (JHG) VAE were awarded the mechanical services for the Greenslopes Private Hospital (GPH) Expansion project
The new infill building, located next to the current administration building, includes three new Operating Theatres (OT’s) increasing the OT capacity to 22, and increasing the intensive care (ICU) bed capacity.
Major refurbishments included conversion of an existing operating theatre to a large hybrid theatre and a major upgrade to Centralised Sterile Services Department (CSSD) and Emergency Departments (ED).
The mechanical scope of works includes the supply and installation of five air-cooled chillers and associated chilled water (CHW) infrastructure, 20 Air Handling Units (AHU), miscellaneous packaged Air Conditioning Units and ventilation systems. As the existing Emergency Department required a major upgrade the existing AHUs were replaced following careful preplanning and stakeholder engagement to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
