VAE were engaged on a design and construct basis for the base building, and construct only for the integrated fit-out. The entire project was completed in a 104 week period with a compressed program for the completion of the integrated fit-out components. The building has specialist requirements including some 24-hour operational areas which required dedicated chilled water and condenser waters systems.
Added complexity was introduced due to major base building design changes to incorporate an extensive 10-level atrium during fit-out. This substantial design change introduced major mechanical and operational impacts that required significant engineering input from VAE’s project and design team, whilst maintaining construction continuity on site.
Added to this complexity was VAE's involvement in coordinating with five consulting companies during various phases of the project.
