VAE are proud to be working on our first project with Hutchinson Builders in Townsville to provide the Mechanical Services for the North Queensland Cowboys High Performance Training Center.
The new center is currently being constructed, adjacent to the recently completed Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.
The Training Centre will combine community areas, a three-storey multi-purpose high-performance centre including sports medicine, and sport science laboratories, and an adjacent 12,000m2 Community training field. Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel has stated that “This facility will create a state-of-the-art, high-performance training environment for our team and will help us retain and recruit the best talent available to ensure we’re a competitive force for many years to come".
The mechanical services for the new building consist of:
- A chilled water system comprising of two air cooled chillers, reticulated chilled water to the air handling plant
- A new chilled water Air Handling Unit serving the Indoor Pitch, with Fan Coil Units serving the community and tenancy areas
- Pre-conditioning Outdoor Air Units serving the Fan Coil Units
- A dedicated Air Handling Unit with heating and cooling coils serving the Indoor Pool area
