VAE Group and DMA Engineers have been confirmed as finalists for the ‘Best HVAC Retrofit or Upgrade’ category in the AIRAH Awards, for works on the Mater Private Hospital Air Handling Unit (AHU) Replacement project.

VAE Group was contracted by The Mater Group as Principal Contractor Mechanical for the Mater Private Hospital (AHU) Replacement project. The project entailed the replacement of 22 existing AHU’s, and three critical Mechanical Services Switch Boards (MSSB), the construction of roof plant area for dedicated Operating theatre AHUs, duct cleaning to critical areas of six Operating Theatres, pre & post-operative ward and major sterile stock room and the associated Building Management System (BMS) in the Mater Private Hospital. The primary objective for the project was to carry out the upgrade works whilst the hospital continued to operate with minimal disruption to patients, and hospital operations.
